A wide 45° infrared sensor sits high on the frame, well out of little arms' reach. It recognises an adult approaching and unlocks the gate automatically — walk straight through with a baby on your hip and a basket in your hand. Small explorers stay exactly where they should be.

A balanced, gravity-assisted mechanism swings the gate gently shut behind you and engages the double lock on its own. And if it ever isn't latched properly, the built-in alert lets you know — an open gate never goes unnoticed.

The threaded pressure mounts wind out firmly against the frame — no drilling, no wall plugs, no marks when you move it. Straight out of the box it suits standard openings, and the 7 cm and 14 cm extensions combine to take it out to just over a metre for wider hallways.

The black steel looks far better than the plastic gates we tried first. The pressure mounts held firm on our door frame with no marks, and the double lock is properly toddler-proof.
Works exactly as described, just check your opening width before ordering. Our hallway needed the 14 cm extension to fit, so factor that in.
